When your child repeats something you wish they never learned from you
Ephesians 6:4
Parents should raise children in the instruction of the Lord without provoking them.
When your child repeats something you wish they never learned from you. The situation may be ordinary, but the story you attach to it can shape the whole day. The temptation is to solve the discomfort fast. But fast relief and faithful direction are not always the same thing. Your child is deeply loved by you, but belongs to God before they belong to your expectations. Jesus Christ can lead where your control cannot reach. You do not have to solve your whole life before lunch. You do need to decide who gets the final word today.
What truth from Scripture needs to become louder than your first reaction today?
Jesus Christ, show me what is true in this situation and expose the story I have added to it. Give me wisdom for my part, courage to obey You, and enough trust to leave the outcome in Your hands. Amen.
